Abduction Day in Memory of R P Shaha and His Son Bhabani Prasad Shaha

Abduction Day was observed on 7 May in memory of the founder of KWT Ranada Prasad Shaha and his son Bhabani Prasad Shaha. On this occasion a condolence meeting was arranged at the Ananda Niketan Hall in Kumudini Complex, Mirzapur. In the meeting the speakers spoke at length on the life and works of Shaheed R P Shaba. The speakers also discussed the sense of responsibility and merit that Bhabani Prasad Shaha possessed. The programme started with recitation from the four holy books seeking divine blessing for the departed souls of the two Shaheeds who sacrificed their lives during our war of liberation. This was followed by prayer songs offered by the students of Kumudini Nursing School & College, At the meeting rich tributes were paid by the Managing Director of KWT Mr Rajiv Prasad Shaha, Directors of KWT Ms Protiva Mutsuddy and Mrs Shampa Shaha. Among others the Education Adviser of Kumudini Women’s Medical College Prof Dr M A Jalil, Principal of KWIvIC Prof Dr M A Halim, Dircetor Kumudini Hospital Dr P K Roy, Principal of Kumudini Nursing School & College Sister Rina Cruz and Principal Bhateswari Homes Mrs Protiva Haider also spoke on the occasion. At the end of the meeting everybody participated in silent prayers for the salvation of the departed souls. Ranada Prasad Shaha University (RPSLT) located at Narayanganj also arranged similar remembrance programme on the same day.
